A very promising photovoltaic module

A young Catalan company develops ClicksCells, a small module in size and power that is connected to others by anyone of its faces to obtain the tension of exit, dimension and forms wished.

Nuosol, with base in Granollers (Catalunya, Spain), has developed a very promising photovoltaic module, mainly in the scope of the architecture. It is the ClickCells, a module of small dimensions and a single photovoltaic cell but with a unique characteristic: its system of connection.

Its conexionado system of allows to interconnect modules in anyone of its faces, being done forms and figures with the chosen combination of colors and, all it, of a fast form.

Xavier Pérez, of 26 years, is the founder of Nuosol, and is accompanied by his Baldomero brother Perez and Dolors. The novel product is the result of the final project of race of 2003 of first, and was deserving of the second prize Negoci 2005, that summons the Polytechnical University of Catalunya (UPC), where developed it.

Nuosol has cells with different tensions from exit (0,5V - 1V - 2V - 4V), to be able to make applications diverse. Also combinations of cells of several colors can be done (colors cream, blue and red).

In order to be able to connect the set of cells, MultiContact terminals are used. Between each one of the cells a small pin is included that connects the two cells electrically. Aside, cells TP and TN have a flexible connector in one of their lateral ones where the exit of tension can be reconciled.

Constructed from monocristaline and policristaline silicon, the powers of the ClickCells are of 2 and 2.4 watios. They are designed according to the European norm IN 61215:2006, the temperature of work goes of -40ºC to 90ºC, the used glass is low in iron, of high transparency, tempering and texturizado to avoid the reflection, it even counts on level of protection IP65, in the connections between cells and laminated individual panel (solar glass + EVA + cell + EVA + Tedlar), the connection between modules is Multi-Contact like the final connections positive and negative, and the frame has supported is of plastic of high quality with additives for the protection against rays UV.
