Armendáriz advisor emphasizes that the solar energy is the renewable one with greater potential of development in Navarra, Spain. He has attended today in Milagro upon presentment of the solar orchard of Solar Acciona, one of the greater photovoltaic facilities of the world.
The advisor of Industry and Technology, Commerce and Work of the Government of Navarra, Jose Javier Armendáriz Quel, is outstanding that the photovoltaic lot is the renewable energy with greater potential of development in the Community.
Thus he has indicated it during the presentation of the solar orchard that the Solar company Acciona has constructed in the locality of Milagro, the greater one of the world in its regime of property and one of the greater photovoltaic facilities by installed power (9.5 Mwp).
Armendáriz advisor has indicated that the photovoltaic lot is “the energy with greater level of growth in the new Power Plan Horizon 2010”, to the time that showed its satisfaction by the solar orchard of Milagro: “An installation, by its dimensions and characteristics, of reference to international level and that serves fortify a position, to consolidate a position of Navarra like community leader in the development of the renewable energies.
This orchard is one more a test of the dynamism than it maintains the group It drives in the sector of the renewable energies and has been thankful that the this company continues betting by Navarra for the accomplishment of new projects”.
The solar orchard of Milagro groups 752 proprietors, who have invested jointly more than 65 million euros. It will produce clean electricity equivalent to the consumption of five thousand families and will avoid the emission of 13.5 million tons of CO ².
Since it has been indicated, the solar orchard of Milagro is the photovoltaic plant with greater production of the world (14 million kilowatts hour to the year), one of greater by power installed, (only surpassed by two plants recently constructed in Baviera - Germany of 12 and 10 MW of power, respectively), and the greater one under the solar modality of orchard.
It occupies an approximated surface of 50 hectares and represents an installed power nine times superior to the one of Planta de Tudela, of 1.18 MWp, installed by the company for the own group (then EHN) in 2002.
